Sewer & Water Line Services in Tabb, VA
Located in York County, Tabb, VA is a quiet coastal community known for its family-friendly neighborhoods, proximity to the Poquoson River, and ever-changing weather. While the area offers scenic living, its shifting sandy soils and frequent rainfall are tough on underground utilities. Many older homes across Tabb still rely on polybutylene water lines and Orangeburg sewer lines, materials that were once standard in mid-century construction but have since proven to crack and leak.
As Tabb expands its public sewer systems, many Tabb homeowners are upgrading their water and sewer lines. A1 Sewer & Drain proudly supports this effort, offering expert drain cleaning, water line replacement, and sewer repair services designed for the area’s unique coastal conditions.

I can't say enough about Jamie from A1 Sewer & Drain. Give this man a raise immediately. Earlier in the week we had to do a sewage pipe repair, he did an awesome job and finished by the end of the day. Very communicative about everything that he was doing. A few days later, we had a water line leak that started filling the newly dug trench with water. (possibly because the inspector had slipped into the hole earlier) We called A1 and surprisingly although he wasn't working that late, he came anyway. In about 30 degree weather with a short sleeve t-shirt on, he was lying in the mud on his belly fixing the problem. I felt so bad that he had to do that but he said he just wanted to make sure we had water. A+ guy. Give him a promotion!!

Causes of Sewer & Water Line Problems in Tabb, VA
Tabb’s low elevation and coastal climate mean the soil is often saturated and unstable. Over time, polybutylene water lines become brittle and crack, especially under constant water pressure. Meanwhile, Orangeburg sewer pipes, made of compressed tar paper, can collapse under soil pressure or tree root intrusion. Combined with frequent rains and tidal influence from the nearby Poquoson River, these issues make sewer and water line maintenance critical for Tabb homeowners.
Remember: anything within your property line is the homeowner’s responsibility, while public connections beyond that point are maintained by the county.
